Quickplay CMS is a content and operations management platform designed to help media teams manage, organize, schedule, and monitor large volumes of video and live-streaming content from a single interface.
The project focused on creating a scalable, data-rich CMS experience for OTT and broadcast operations, covering key workflows such as VOD management, Sports Highlights, EPG, Live Channels, Playout, Assets, and content metadata.
The goal was to simplify complex media workflows while giving operators clear visibility and control over content, publishing status, schedules, and live operations.
the challenge
Managing OTT and broadcast content involves multiple interconnected workflows, large datasets, and time-sensitive operations. The existing experience made it difficult for users to quickly understand content status, locate assets, and take action without navigating through multiple screens.
The key challenges were:
Managing large content libraries with hundreds or thousands of assets.
Providing a clear way to differentiate Draft, Published, and other content states.
Making metadata-heavy content details easy to scan and understand.
Simplifying EPG and scheduling workflows, where timing and program information are critical.
Giving operators immediate visibility into live channel and playout status.
Designing effective search, filtering, sorting, pagination, and bulk-management patterns.
Handling operational errors such as stream interruptions and subsystem failures without overwhelming the user.
Maintaining consistency across different CMS modules while supporting different user needs.
The core UX challenge was to make a technically complex platform feel predictable, organized, and operationally efficient.
The redesigned Quickplay CMS created a more structured experience for content and broadcast operations.
Improved content management
A clearer list-based experience made it easier to browse, search, filter, and manage large volumes of sports and VOD content.
Better visibility into content status
Status indicators such as Published and Draft, along with overview metrics, helped users understand the state of their content at a glance.
Faster operational workflows
Quick actions, contextual controls, filters, and detailed content views reduced unnecessary navigation and helped users move from identifying an issue → understanding it → taking action more efficiently.
More effective live operations
The Playout experience brought channel status, schedule information, playback state, fallback options, and quick actions into one operational view, helping users respond to live issues quickly.
Scalable design system
Consistent patterns for navigation, tables, cards, filters, status indicators, controls, and content details created a foundation that could scale across multiple CMS modules.

conclusion
The Quickplay CMS project was about more than redesigning individual screens—it was about simplifying complex media operations into a cohesive product experience.
By organizing information hierarchically, introducing clearer content states, improving discovery and filtering, and providing contextual operational actions, the platform became easier to navigate and more effective for day-to-day media management.
The final experience balances content management, operational control, and real-time visibility, creating a scalable CMS suited for modern OTT and broadcast workflows.
